Alex Sossa & Paulo set up the Frisky Dj's in 2004, in response to the then lack of quality in funky house. The scene was in decline and the boys where becoming increasingly frustrated every time they went out. The best parties at this time were Lovepuppy & Penge, both of which only came about every couple of months. So they decided to bring their Djing skills and musical influences together and start their own parties, Friskycrew was born. After 12 months of throwing some excellent underground parties, promoters like Clockwork Orange and clubs like Studio 33 soon noticed these guys. In 2005 an excellent partnership was forged with Studio 33 and the Frisky Dj's became the clubs first and only residents, hosting their own room at almost every party that was held there.
Today the guys have established themselves as peak time party Dj's, with their unique blend of funky, pumping house, taking in influences from every genre of house music; it makes for a very refreshing approach to clubbing.
The Frisky Dj's have held some prestigious residencies over the years including Papadiso, Flawless, Studio 33, Locked In, Zombies Ate My Brains, and currently Space @ The Cross.
They have also graced the decks for Abstract, Circo Loco, Playroom (Zap Club), Riva Diva, Formula, Dirty Angels, Flawless, Clockwork Orange to name but a few.
The Frisky boys are currently producing there own tracks so keep a look out for these in 2008.
